New in Nova: Skills, Sharing, and Slack

Every organizer has a set of tasks that come around again and again. The same registrations report every Monday. The same checks before an event goes live. The same set of numbers pulled together for a sponsor who wants to know how their race is tracking.
None of it is difficult. It is just repetitive, and it adds up to hours of busywork. We built Nova to give that time back, so you can spend it with your participants and event partners rather than on admin.

Teach Nova a process once, then ask for it by name
Skills let you turn a repeated piece of work into something you can ask for in a single command. If you use Nova to build the same report every week, or to run the same set of checks before an event goes on sale, you can save that as a Skill instead of explaining it from scratch every time.
There is more on how Skills work, and how they differ from Instructions, in our dedicated post: Meet Skills: teach Nova your repeatable tasks.
We have also built a set of verified Let's Do This Skills, so you are not starting from scratch. We built them with beta organizers, covering the reporting and pre-launch tasks that come up for most events.

Share a dashboard without exporting anything
You can now share the custom dashboards you have built with people outside your organization, which is useful for sponsors, agencies and partners.
External viewers get a password-protected, view-only link to the live numbers that matter to them. They see current data rather than a snapshot, and they see that one dashboard and nothing else in your Let's Do This account. No spreadsheet to build, no numbers going stale in someone's inbox.
If a partner needs a file rather than a link, you can download the dashboard's data as a CSV or a PDF.

Ask Nova a question in Slack
Some quick questions do not warrant logging in and generating a full report. If your team uses Slack and you have a shared channel with your Let's Do This Technical Account Manager, you can now tag @Nova with a question and get a data answer in the thread you are already having the conversation in.
It suits the quick ones. How many 5K tickets sold last night? Which race is closest to selling out? How many women's L t-shirts are left in stock? If you want your team set up with @Nova in Slack, speak to your Technical Account Manager.
What's coming next
Three things we are working on now.
- Discount codes end to end. Ask Nova which of your codes are driving registrations, then have it create new ones without leaving the chat.
- File uploads. Send Nova a timing provider list or a batch of offline registrations and have it reconcile that against your Let's Do This data.
- Participant location insights. Plan marketing and logistics around where your participants really travel from rather than where you assume they do.
We're shipping improvements and new features to Nova every week, all thanks to feedback and ideas we get from event organizers like you. Keep watching this space for more.
